Fibrous ion exchangers Fiban for fine air cleaning in “cleanroom” technology.

A distinguishing feature of Fibanâ is high efficiency in air purification from acid (HCl, HF, SO2, , CH3COOH, HCOOH) and basic (NH3, N2H4, amines) pollutions. They have provided a basis for creation and manufacturing in Belarus of industrial filters for fine air cleaning systems of airflow capacity (rate) up to 30000 m3 per hour. These filters feature both low filter pressure drop and high efficiency.

Exceptionally high speed of exchange and sorption processes on Fibanâ ion exchangers allows them to be applied in thin filtering layers (of 2-3 to 20 mm depending on the filter design).

Since nineties of the last century Fiban materials have been used in gas-dust respirators production. Since recent time Fiban materials have been tested and applied for fine air filtration systems in some European industries of clean rooms for microelectronic, pharmaceutical and food industries.
